This was my first time using AirBnB to book a place to stay for me and my two kids. Sara was very responsive in answering all of my questions and concerns, even after I had already booked the reservation. Finding a place with breakfast is one of my criteria, as waking on a morning on vacation, I do not want to have to shower and get dressed just to go out eat, nor do I want to cook on vacation. Sara assured me that there would be Gluten Free options available for breakfast (i.e. hardboiled eggs) and even Almond Milk for my coffee. Upon arrival, Marty greeted us and explained how the locks worked. She gave us a tour of the house and our suite that we would be staying in, along with a personalized welcome sign on our door. She even offered to put on a movie in the yard with a projector (after sundown) if my kids would like! The suite was perfect for the three of us, and even the four of us when my sister joined us on our last night. I found the house to be very clean and homey. My kids enjoyed the pool the first evening. Breakfast each morning was so convenient. My kids we able to help themselves (Marty even put out a step stool for my younger child so she could reach the cereal of her choice), and let Mommy sleep in! The many diverse options for breakfast were great for my kids! I enjoyed the hardboiled eggs and fresh fruit…mandarin oranges, apples, and even avocado. The fridge was great for storing some of my personal food that I had brought from home, and for the community items placed there by Marty. Although it was not like an old fashioned bed and breakfast where you sit down to a prepared meal at a specified time, it really made it nice that you, or anyone in your party, could eat at whatever time they chose. There were even snacks and fresh brewed iced tea available for hours other than breakfast! I found the bed on the main floor very comfortable with clean sheets. The bathroom was clean as well, and they supplied shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Of course there was a hairdryer, and even q-tips. It was stocked like a hotel with all amenities one would expect. The last morning Marty even cooked some eggs for my sister when unexpectedly we ran out of hardboiled eggs. We enjoyed our time at this AirBnB Bed and Breakfast and all the hospitality/conversation with Marty about local tips and tips, as well as life stories. She even suggested we take the beach supplies (chairs, umbrella and towels) in case we decided to go to the beach one day. It felt like we were staying in her personal home. We would definitely book this AirBnB again! Thank you Marty for your fabulous hospitality and great conversation!

I really liked staying with Marty. She has a beautiful home and the room I stayed in was very comfortable. I brought my dog to San Diego so it was important to find a place that was dog friendly. I stayed in one of the rooms that has a little patio and an entrance to outside. This was very convenient when I needed to take my dog to the bathroom and didn’t want to walk through the house. I also enjoyed relaxing in Marty’s backyard, it was very peaceful.
I really enjoyed talking to Marty and getting information on the area. Next time I find myself in San Diego I’ll try to stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay at Marty’s place! The room was very clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. Marty was such a kind and welcoming host, she even waited up for me on my first night when I arrived late just to say hello, which I really appreciated.
The location was perfect for my trip since I was helping my niece move into UCSD. It’s close to campus and also convenient for exploring La Jolla and the rest of San Diego.
I felt very comfortable throughout my stay and would definitely give it 5/5. I’d happily stay here again whenever I’m back in San Diego. Thank you, Marty! 😊

Marty’s place was amazing. I initially booked for a different room, she kindly upgraded my daughters and myself to a bigger space. Everything was clean, organized and literally felt right at home. The common spaces were clean and backyard space is sooo relaxing. If you are ever in the San Diego area please don’t overlook this place, it has everything you need and more. Also recommendations of what to do in San Diego was great as well as this was our first time. I give this place a 10/10.

Marty was an amazing host! She was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. She even had a binder full of local food recommendations, which was such a thoughtful touch and made finding places to eat really easy. She also went out of her way to ask if I wanted her to pick up dinner for me when she was heading out. Her kindness and hospitality made me feel right at home. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend staying with Marty!

Marty was a great host, very attentive, friendly and accommodating. I felt right at home in this clean, peaceful suite and having my own bathroom made the suite that much more private. There we're no disturbances or intrusions. The suite had a direct door to the patio. The patio was a great place to sit and chill, before or after a day/night out in San Diego. Highly recommend Marty's place for your next San Diego Visit.

It’s a lovely house and good for large group. We had a great time. Kids love the backyard. We had everything we need in the kitchen. And the dining place is big enough for everyone to enjoy the dining time. If you don’t want to cook, there is good food in walking distance. The location is perfect, almost within 20 mins to most attractions in San Diego. We would revisit when back to SD.

She made my mother feel at home…her house, the aesthetic of it, decorations, bedroom, snacks, their backyard was phenomenal, everything was beyond my expectations, and most importantly she was extraordinarily nice! When my mother comes into San Diego, she will only be staying there from here on out! I highly recommend!
