That is how Bria put it in October. A grab-and-go breakfast is out on the marbled counter every morning, with fresh fruit, pastries, coffee and tea, and snacks appear through the day. “Her coffee was so good,” Zoe wrote. “Better than your Starbucks.”
Marty was the most accommodating host I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. She made my mother feel at home… her house, the aesthetic of it, decorations, bedroom, snacks, their backyard was phenomenal, everything was beyond my expectations.

From ten years of guests
Before you go
Put your pin in the map
Guests leave a pin in the map where they came from, and after ten years it is crowded. They keep naming it as the part they remember: “the pin your place on the map was a very fun activity,” Hagyeong wrote. Bring your hometown.

Where we are
Between La Jolla and Pacific Beach
In a quiet San Diego neighbourhood, walking distance to shops, a movie theatre and plenty to eat, and close to every freeway. Downtown’s Gaslamp is 12 minutes, the airport 15, Pacific Beach 14, SeaWorld 15, La Jolla UTC 8 and Legoland 25.
The world-map table, the marbled kitchen, two living rooms, and a yard made for long evenings.
The dining room
The long table under the world map
Big enough for everyone, set with real glasses and turquoise napkins, under a map that covers the whole wall. The kitchen beside it has double ovens, a large fridge and a marbled island with woven stools, ideal for families, groups and events.
Inside
Room to spread out
Two living rooms, a kitchen for a crowd, and the coffee always on.
Out back
Lime umbrellas, palms and a lawn
Guests call the yard an oasis: dining tables in the sun, a hammock, a fire lounge and a hot tub.
The fire lounge
A stone fireplace, outdoors
Low sofas with turquoise cushions around a stone fireplace and a lantern on the glass table, under the string lights. “The patio area is a very peaceful place to enjoy your morning coffee,” Rick wrote in August.
The yard
Something for every hour
Marty was super helpful. She let us use her projector and speakers for outside. She always kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything. The outside was beautiful as well as the inside. We felt right at home.
